“Of the 122 million equines found around the world, no more than
10% are clinically sound. Some 10% (12.2 million) are clinically,
completely and unusably lame.
The remaining 80 % (97.6
million) are somewhat lame...and
could not pass a soundness
evaluation test
.”

This Clinic is intended as basic information to horse owners who wish to understand their horses feet better. Trimming the
healthy hoof is covered to show the basics of hoof care and  cannot cover all abnormalities that can occur.
Owners who would like to learn to trim their own horses hooves can get individual  instruction through regular trimming
appointments. Attempting to trim horses without supervision can cause complications and lameness to the horse.

This clinic is offered for information purposes to horse owners. It is not intended to cover all the complexities or disorders
of the equine hoof and does not qualify anyone to trim hooves professionally. There are several programs available to
learn barefoot hoof trimming at an advanced level.
