Bethany is a 2-year-old Miniature mare I bought at auction in June 2002. She had very long heels, which made her coronary hairlines much less then 30 degrees.

In the photos you can see the uneven growth rings on her hoof wall.

Luckily she did not have major contraction in her heels. She did have some bar overgrowth.

Bethany would not put weight on her heels after she was first trimmed. It took her several days of movement before she would rock back onto her heels.
